Many home buyers, sellers, and real estate professionals don't vet their inspectors. I've been told dozens of past inspector horror stories from my own clients. Do yourself a favor, and recommend or use inspectors who are not only licensed but also members of professional associations with Standards, a Code of Conduct, and accountability.
I'm excited to be not only an ASHI Inspector but also an InterNACHI CPI. Reaching these levels of certification is not easy, and I encourage folks to read about the benefits and requirements of these esteemed organizations.
